How do I add a filter?
|
 |
To add a filter, simply follow the steps below:
- Click on the "Add" button.
- Select which attribute of the incoming e-mail you want your filter criteria applied to: "Charset (e.g. kr, cn, jp,Big5,EUC-KR,shift_jis,korean)", "Message", "From Field", "To and CC Field" or "Subject".
- Select the filter condition: "Contains", "Does not Contain", "Starts With", "Ends With".
- Enter your filter criteria.
- Specify what you want to do with the email that satisfies the filter condition and criteria. If you choose "Reject", the email will be automatically dropped. If you choose "Deliver to", you have to enter a valid email address where you want the email to go. If you have entered a new email address, you will be sent a confirmation email for verification. You only need to do this once.
- Click on the "Create Filter" button to activate your filter.

This seems pretty complicated, do I really need to do this?
|
 |
Filtering is not for the faint of heart. It is a sophisticated service that should be used by people who have a real need to organize their e-mail delivery that is unique to them. If you don't really need to filter your incoming e-mail, it might be better to select basic Forwarding or Distribution.
